Intel Xeon Scalable 1st Gen (Skylake-SP) and 2nd Gen (Cascade Lake) on LGA 3647. The platform needs a matching System ROM level, and both sockets must carry the same processor model when running dual CPU. Tell us the exact part number you plan to fit and we will confirm the ROM level the unit needs before it ships — the ROM is flashable.
The second processor is what activates the remaining DIMM slots and the lanes of the secondary riser, so a dual-CPU build unlocks the full 24 DIMM capacity and all expansion slots.
DL380 Gen10 vs DL380 Gen10 Plus
Both are 2U dual-socket HPE platforms with 24 DDR4 DIMM slots and iLO 5; the difference is the processor generation and the interconnect. Gen10 takes Xeon Scalable 1st/2nd Gen on PCIe 3.0.
