A server barebone is a chassis supplied with the motherboard, power supplies, drive cages, risers and cooling already fitted, but without processors, memory or drives — so you specify exactly the CPU and RAM the workload needs instead of paying for a configuration you would replace anyway. Zhongxin Data supplies used 1U and 2U rack servers and barebones on HPE ProLiant and Dell PowerEdge platforms, bench-tested before dispatch.
